“ I wish I took more pics bc this place was great!! We loved it so much!! it was a little confusing at first how the menu works, but we loved having two small portions so that you can try many things. However, the small portions were enough for us to get full. Live music was also a nice touch! We had an appetizer that I forgot to take a photo of. It was a Hamachi dish and it was incredible. I could’ve eaten two or three of them lol I love the drinks. I love the location. the food is fantastic. Bartenders were most excellent. Def come here again place ”
“ Did dinner at Rumfire at Poipu. Although we were staying in Lihue (Marriott) next to Dukes (also a great restaurant) we made the pilgrimage to Rimfire at the Sheraton Poipu. It’s a pretty typical upscale resort style restaurant with the normalized feel of a Sheraton , Marriott, Westin or Hilton resort. Prices are up there for sure. This is Hawaii. Everything is more expensive. And Rumfire doesn’t disappoint in that area. But let’s get to brass tacks. The service was exceptional. Our server (Taylor) was off the chain great. She did an exceptional job with us — and was so accommodating to our dietary needs. Big” hand hugs” to you Taylor. Rumfire is soooo lucky to have you. You did an exceptional job job for us and that should be noted to all!! The food was also off the chain delicious - as were the drinks. We had a few - and everyone liked them. The goat cheese on pita chip fondue was also wonderful as a starter. We did the butter fish - fantastic And the crab crusted fish. Again... a winner. Great time. Nice ambiance. About 5 degrees to cold inside. Which we could have opened the windows to the ocean. It’s right there and you are stuck behind glass looking at a reflection rather than seeing / smelling the ocean just 10 yards in front of you. That would be my only stated disappointment. You come to a place like this to experience the waves just next to you and I stead you are sealed Ina hermetically AC’ed restaurant freezing to death because you wore comfortable outside appropriate wear but end up in 65 degrees. I get it... it’s a balance. But if that’s my only complaint, life ain’t that bad. ”
“ The tables were pure marble framed with beautiful wood. The atmosphere was really really nice. Beautiful artwork, really nice lighting, very spacious, different levels and different areas to accommodate different size parties and people. Live music but not over loud, just the right amount of background ambience. The food was absolutely outstanding. We had the butter, fish and the lobster tail with the champagne cream. Worth every penny. Also had the baked Kauai which we highly recommend. It was the perfect textures and flavors. I'm so glad my partner stumbled across this place for us. ”
“ Great spot for a small bite and a cocktail. The Kauai old fashioned was excellent. The music and atmosphere was great. Good HH prices ”
“ Great food, amazing atmosphere, amazing service. Ben and Noel were great. We went back the next day because of them. Tried lobster tail, fried rice, Hawaiian fresh catch and Saffron and Seafood, and amazing cocktails. ”
“ Our meal here was great! Service was very friendly and very brisk (seriously, food arrived basically instantly). Everyone at our table did the thing where you can get smaller portions of 2 entrees. None of us had any complaints about our meals. Cocktails here were good in the context of the island. Smoked rum manhattan was our table favorite. The restaurant offers great views of the bay from basically all the seats. Excellent spot to dine at sunset. Of note, they don't have blinds to block the sun before sunset. So if sitting by a window you will become microwaved. They could use something to deal with that. ”
“ Posting this a couple weeks delayed, but my boyfriend & I had an awesome dinner here while on vacation. We were staying at a hotel down the street but this restaurant caught our eye. The food & ambiance were great, but the real charm came from our server. I wish I could remember her name, but she was attentive, kind, & even wrote down hike recommendations for us. As a food & beverage industry worker myself, I can say the restaurant is lucky to have such a qualified & lovely staff member! ”
“ This was a last minute booking, but we were glad we did not miss out on dining here. Our waiter Bobby was the best server we have had in our 8 days in Hawaii. He provided suggestions that more than met expectations and took great care of us through all of our courses. The butterfish is a must try. I would also recommend the olive oil cake for dessert. ”
